About the Council
The SEIU Massachusetts State Council is the representative body of SEIU local unions in Massachusetts. Together we represent over 75,000 SEIU members and their families in Massachusetts. Through the State Council, our local unions work together to:
 Support political candidates and legislation that support the issues that affect union members and working families
Exchange information and provide mutual bargaining assistance to SEIU members
Encourage organizing among workers throughout the Commonwealth.
Help coordinate SEIU's Member Political Organizers program
Educate and involve members about issues in government that affect their jobs and their lives.
